Art

Zane’s art teacher is awesome! She created an easel especially for him made from hula hoops and Styrofoam. It hooks onto his adaptive stroller, and it is angled and positioned so he can easily see and access his work surface.

One of his classmates voluntarily held the palette for him while Zane dipped his fingers into the colors and painted. Although, he mostly enjoyed the texture of the paint.

Zane’s friend, Sophia, is such a sweet and compassionate girl who loves to sit beside Zane during circle time and hold his hand, too. Hooray for children who are accepting of those with differences! They are a true reflection of their parents (I’ve met hers, and they are incredibly nice, too). If Sophia is an example of our future, then it is not so bleak after all.

I love inclusive education!
